STRONG – Voters on Friday re-elected SAD 58 director Gerald “Mike” Pond for another three years.

The school board chairman was opposed by Gina DiCrocco. Town Clerk Lois Barker said Pond received 75 votes and DiCrocco 35.

Several write-ins were received for the selectman’s position left vacant by Rebecca Croteau in January. No one took out papers to be a candidate for the position.

Mary White received 43 votes, Raylene Tolman 23 votes and Lendell Allen 20. There were others who received only one vote, Barker said.

White will accept the three-year position, she said Friday night.

The town meeting will reconvene at 9:30 a.m. today at the Forster building.
