LITCHFIELD – Larry and Lisa Gowell of Litchfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Gowell of Litchfield, to Adam Butler of Litchfield, son of Michael and Betty Butler of West Gardiner.

Miss Gowell is a 2003 graduate of Oak Hill High School and is employed at School Union 44.

Mr. Butler is a 1998 graduate of Leavitt Area High School and is employed at Wal-Mart Distribution Center.

The wedding will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 18 in Gardiner.
