LEWISTON – Janet F. Bryne, 65, of Livermore, died Friday, Feb. 29, at Central Maine Medical Center due to complications from surgery.

She was born on Sept. 21, 1942, in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of Albert and Beatrice (DeFossi) LeBrasseur. She was educated at Sacred Heart School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, Mass.

On Sept. 21, 1985, she married Edward Bryne in Peabody, Mass. Following their retirement, they moved to Livermore where they made their home for many years.

She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.

Janet had worked as a waitress and a conference coordinator. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, always enjoying her time with her family.

She was a member of the Amvets Auxiliary, Post No. 3335 of Jay, and was a competitive bowler and a member of the Ladies Professional Bowling League in Massachusetts for many years. Janet was an avid gardener and together with her husband enjoyed working in the community gardens in the Lynn area and loved to play cribbage.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ed, of Livermore; three sons, Bruce W. Taylor and his wife, Doris, of South Carolina, Brian Taylor and his wife, Amy, of Salem, Mass., and Barry Taylor of Salem, Mass.; a daughter, Theresa Paul and her husband, Mark, of Shallotte, N.C.; two brothers, Robert LeBrasseur and Paul LeBrasseur, both of Lynn, Mass.; four sisters, Alice Mahoney of Lynn, Mass., Rita Bukur of Peoria, Ariz., Elaine Dellagrotte of Danvers, Mass., and Claire LeBrasseur of Lynn, Mass.; four grandchildren; and many, many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Albert LaBrasseur.
