AUBURN – June D. Digney, 88, formerly of Orchard Street, Auburn, died late Thursday evening, Feb. 28, at the Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston, June 2, 1919, a daughter of Gordon and Gladys (Varney) Malone.

A lifelong resident of this community, she worked for many years as a dress buyer at Ward Bros. in Lewiston, until her retirement in 1984.

She leaves a son, Gordon White, and wife, Lorie, of Berlin, Vt.; and four grandchildren, Chad White of Auburn, Jennifer Graham of Fort Kent, Kara Hagberg of Hopkinton, Mass., and Vernon White of Wasilla, Alaska.

She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Russell Walz.
