Word of the week: the coinage “bacn,” which is pronounced “bacon.” According to the official website, www.bacn2.com, it is “e-mail you want, but not now.” In other words, messages that have been subscribed to, but not read for a long time. The word was coined humorously as a less objectionable alternative to “spam.”
Not generally known is that two of the major-party presidential candidates were born outside the continental United States. Obama was born in Hawaii; where was McCain born?
