AUGUSTA – Althea Harmon Record Fournier, 87, died Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Gray Birch Nursing Care Facility in Augusta.
She was born March 22, 1920 in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Elton and Evelyn Winship Harmon. She attended schools in Limestone and graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1937.
She was married to Stuart H. Record, deceased, and the late Henry E. Fournier of Livermore Falls and Litchfield. She retired from the New England Telephone Company in 1976, after nearly 30 years of service and spent most of her later years enjoying life at her retirement home in Holiday, Fla., and traveling.
A “Mayflower” descendant, she was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, a former member of Norland Grange in Livermore Falls and of Eastern Star #117 of New Port Richey, Fla.
She is survived by three sons, David H. Record and wife, Sue, of Clinton, Dr. Duane C. Record and wife, Sharon, of Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Ralph S. Record and wife, Kathleen, of Readfield; seven grandchildren, Kelli O’Brien and husband, Sean, Jason Record and wife, Laura, Leslie Record, Jennie Record, Emily Lane and husband, Carroll, Nicholas Record and partner, Christine Selman, and Bethany Record and fiancé, Wes Corbin; four great-grandchildren, Seamus, Maggie and Declan O’Brien and Riley Record; and a brother, Lewis Harmon of Livermore.
She was predeceased by her parents and by a brother, Ralph of Venice, Calif.
