AUBURN – Catherine B. Lupardo, 88, of 20 Goffee St., Lewiston, died Saturday, March 1, at Clover Health Care in Auburn.
Born in Lewiston on Feb. 17, 1920, she was the daughter of Alfred and Alfreda Dulac Bussiere. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’38.
She was employed for several years as a spinner in the area textile industry, including 11 years at the Libbey Mill. For almost 60 years, she was married to Raphael Lupardo, who passed away on Feb. 24, 2000. A member of St. Patrick’s Parish, she also belonged to Horizons 55, Lewiston Senior Citizens, and was a longtime volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing cards with friends and sewing, and especially loved family gatherings. Survivors include two sons, Conrad of Richfield Springs, N.Y., and Michael of Auburn; three daughters, Janet and husband, Armand Roy, of Auburn, Doris Mathis of San Antonio, Texas, and Margaret and husband, Richard Pelletier, of Auburn; two brothers, Gerald and wife, Carmen Bussiere, of Lewiston, and Bertrand and wife, Lorette Bussiere, of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; a sister, Loretta and husband, George Rainville, of Lewiston, 15 grandchildren, Debra, Richard, Russell, Michael, Tina, Kevin, David, Christina, Aaron, Phillip, Shane, Heidi, Melissa, Keith and Angela; 23 great-grandchildren, Amber, Devin, Joshua, Conrad, Phillip, Austin, Sarah, Marie, Tia, Zoey, Jade, Jonah, Kaelyanna, Drew, Dakota, Vincent, Caleb, Izak, Hunter, Madison, Isabella, Zachary, and Parker, four great-great-grandchildren, Damien, Willow, James, and Meadow.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Diana; three brothers, Rosario, Oliva, and Robert; a sister, Lucienne; and two daughters-in-law, Inka and Brenda. The family would like to thank the staffs of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, the office of Dr. Amber Pena, and Clover Health Care for their dedication and caring support.
