Dear Sun Spots: I would like to know if they still make galvanized steel snow scoops. If they still do where might I buy one? – No Name, Durham.

Answer:
In addition to readers, Sun Spots checked several areas and stores and unfortunately has learned that thanks to the winter season we’ve been having this year, many snow scoops are on back order or nonexistent at many stores. Perhaps readers will be able to assist you in your search here.

In the meantime, you might be interested in noting that as of Feb. 26, Caribou had seen 144.5 inches of snow this season. They are well on the way to breaking the record of 181.1 inches for the entire season.

Answer:
According to www.sparkleplentyinc.com, the Sparkle Plenty formula was invented in 1903 by Austrian crystal manufactures. Designed to make cleaning the finest crystal chandeliers easier, its drip dry, no hand rubbing or cleaning formula has successfully cleaned millions of chandeliers since its inception. It was brought to the United States in the early 1970s. Contact them at Sparkle Plenty Inc, 55 East Main #305, Chattanooga, TN 37408, 800-314-9114, 254-744-9562.
