TROY, N.H. (AP) – Police are seeking a Troy man accused of driving his all-terrain vehicle over a police officer’s leg and dragging him a short distance.

Police say 21-year-old Cornelius Gallagher faces charges of simple assault, driving with a suspended license and illegal conduct after an accident. He was identified from a store surveillance tape.

Officer Kevin Stone was treated for minor scrapes and bruises at a hospital after Sunday night’s incident.

Stone was hurt while investigating a man driving an ATV behind a convenience store. Police said the driver took off when Stone asked for identification. Police said he drove over Stone’s leg. Stone grabbed the man and was dragged until he lost his grip.

Police said they identified Gallagher from the store’s security camera tape.
