Having a pet can help you make friends by making connections to other people with pets. Having a pet can even make you feel comforted when you are alone. They are great companions, because you can tell them anything and they won’t laugh at you. They also snuggle with you and make you happy when you’re sad. Pets reduce stress, so just having them with you in a stressful situation can make you feel better.
Whenever I am sad, my dog and my cat just seem to know. They will come and snuggle with me when I am alone. I can connect to this in everyday life, because I can feel the benefits of having a pet. When I am feeling down, I can count of my pets to cheer me up. I don’t know how I could live without my pets!
