This year Elm Street School’s semi formal was held on February 8, for the seventh and eighth graders. The semi formal took place in the gymnasium. The dance started at 7 p.m. and ended at 10 p.m. We were all very excited for the semi. You could bring a guest from another town with the permission from the principal or the assistant principal. About fifty students attended.

The gymnasium was decorated with snowmen, icicles, and an ice skating rink. Students could get their picture taken in Penguin Park, or Eskimo Village. After pictures were taken the lights turned off, and the DJ started playing music. If you wanted, you were allowed to go and request any songs that the DJ had.

Even though our semi was rescheduled because of the weather we still had lots of fun. This semi went really well and we can’t wait until next year to do the same thing.
