WATERVILLE – Lewiston High School wrapped up its bowling campaign with a semifinal loss to eventual state champion Messalonskee in the Maine High School Ten Pin finals Monday at Sparetime Recreation in Waterville.

Messalonskee defeated Skowhegan in the championship match, 956-873. The Eagles topped Bangor Home Schoolers, 1,949-1,305, in a two-game quarterfinal series. Strong games by Alex Lebeau (236), Willie Nutting (224) and Brian Candage (214) gave the champs the edge over Lewiston.
