TEMPLE – Voters will consider 52 articles Monday at the annual town meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, March 10, at the town building.

During the meeting, voters will choose a selectman, town clerk, excise tax collector, treasurer, tax collector and road commissioner.

Selectman Ben Milster has chosen to not run again, Selectman George Blodgett said. His work at Mt. Blue High School, especially with the school consolidation, keeps him busy, he said, and he will be missed as a selectman.

“It should be a fairly quiet town meeting,” he added.

Some articles in the warrant are for:

• $123,317 for a snow plowing contract;

• $35,000 for winter sand and salt;

• $40,000 for road and bridges;

• $30,000 for paving;

• $20,000 for the Fire Department;

• $1,000 for the Fire Department’s communications account; and

• $3,000 for the Fire Department equipment reserve.

The Fire Department reported receiving a Homeland Security Grant last year to upgrade air packs and buy a thermal imaging camera.
