AUBURN – Adam Dunbar, financial consultant for A.G. Edwards, a division of Wachovia Securities LLC of Auburn, recently made a $1,000 donation to Good Shepherd Food-Bank.
Dunbar contributed $10 in honor of each of his top 100 clients as a thank-you for their business. “Good Shepherd Food-Bank is a charity that I work closely with. I serve as a member of the organization’s Development Committee and believe in their mission to help feed hungry people and help the less fortunate in all our communities,” he said.
Each $10 contribution will buy $125 in food retail value at Good Shepherd and can provide 48 meals to Mainers.
Dunbar said, “The money for this contribution comes from a bonus I received from A.G. Edwards for my recent success. I have made this donation in honor of my clients because I realize that it is their trust and loyalty that has made it possible for me to achieve personal success in this business so far.”
Since making the donation, Dunbar has heard positive comments from dozens of his clients. “They appreciate the work of this worthy organization too. It’s a win-win for all of us,” he said.
Good Shepherd Food-Bank provides food to more than 600 member agencies throughout the state. It is a private organization and is not federally or state funded. To learn more, visit www.gsfb.org.
