AUBURN – Lorraine A. Ward of 128 Old Brunswick Road, Durham, died Wednesday, March 5, at the Hospice House.
She was born in Avon, Aug. 28, 1932, the daughter of Ralph and Doris Weeks Flagg. She grew up in Phillips and Avon as a child and attended Phillips schools.
She married John Emerson and had her family. She latter married Russell Ward and lived in Poland, until his death. She lived with her companion, Robert Crosman in Bowdoinham and following his death, lived with her son, Larry in Durham.
She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and feeding birds.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry Emerson and his wife, Lori, of Gonic, N.H., Larry Emerson and his wife, Debbie, of Durham and Ronnie Emerson of Lewiston; two sisters, Zelma Abbot and her husband, Irvin, of Guilford and Zelda Mayfield of Waterville; a half brother, John Flagg of Phillips; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Lori Emerson; a brother; and two sisters.
