STAMFORD, CONN.- Bert Arno Bodenheimer, of Stamford, Conn., and Auburn, passed away on Saturday, March 8. Born in Lorrach, Germany on May 22, 1928, he immigrated with his parents and sister to New York in 1939.

A professional engineer, he earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from City College of New York and his master’s from Columbia University. He was a trustee of Congregation Agudath Shalom and past trustee of the Bi-Cultural Day School.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha; children Brenda Bodenheimer Zlatin and her husband, Avraham, Carol Bodenheimer Alberts and her husband, Seth, Andrew Bodenheimer and his wife, Sharon, and Michael and Sue Allen, Donald Allen, Cindy Allen, and David and Anne Allen; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and by his sister, Inge Guggenheimer of Rego Park, N.Y.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Ellen Schleicher Bodenheimer.
