Rex Rhoades’ column March 7, “Govenment bailout? Throw ’em a bucket,” came as a surprise to me. This is because it could have been written by a conservative, except that he reserved a barb for Sen. John McCain and blamed President Bush for most of the mortage mess.

However, that being said, I find myself in agreement with his piece.

It goes to show that when it comes to money, our own money, we are conservative.
