Auburn – Joseph Roland R. Dagneau, 92, of The Meadows, Rt. 202, Greene, passed on to his final resting place Thursday, March 6, at Clover Manor.

He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 8, 1916, the son of Alfred and Exilia Ruel Dagneau. He was married to Georgienne Gaudreau on May 27, 1939. She predeceased him May 2, 1996.

He moved to Meriden, Conn., in 1956 and returned to Auburn in 1983. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist at Pratt Whitney Jet Engine Manufacturing in No. Haven, Conn.

He enjoyed woodworking, painting pictures and playing bingo while a resident at The Meadows.

He is survived by his sister, Irene Henson of Auburn; two daughters, Connie (Dagneau) Kacerguis of Bethlehem, Conn., and Nancy (Dagneau) Beatrice of Auburn; a son, Richard G. Dagneau of S. Windsor, Conn.; five grandchildren, Raymond J. Tessier of Canaan, Conn., Lisa Cidela of Wolcott, Conn., Jason Dagneau of S. Windsor, Conn., John D. Beatrice and Nicole Pendexter both of Auburn; and nine great-grandchildren.
