BIDDEFORD – Daphne Demerritt Sands, 79, of Biddeford and North Waterford, entered into rest on Saturday, March 8, at the South Ridge Rehab Center, Biddeford.

She was born in North Waterford on Jan. 6, 1929, to Charles and Hazel (Kimball) Demerritt. She had worked as a store clerk.

She leaves a son, Nathaniel Demerritt of Calais. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Sands.
