SABATTUS – Jacqueline A. Morin, 78, of 20 Lake St., Sabattus, died at her home on Thursday, March 6, with her loving family by her side. Born in Lewiston, on June 24, 1929, she was the daughter of William and Ida Gagnon Ayotte.
Educated locally, she graduated from Lewiston High School in 1946. On July 3, 1948, she married Robert M. Morin, who passed away on May 3, 2005. She was employed as an office manager for Cote Crane, retiring in June of 1991.
A member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, she was a cribbage expert and enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren and family, gardening, spending time with her family, and “babysitting” her great-grandchildren and her special puppy.
She touched many hearts and will be missed by all who knew her. For many years she volunteered her time at Sabattus Elementary School and Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Jr. and wife, Jodi, of Auburn; Ronald Sr. and wife, Annette, of Sabattus; and Donald and wife, Denise, of Lewiston; three daughters, Dorothy and husband, Bert Gosselin, of Sabattus; Louise and husband, Christopher Matthews, of Poland; and Linda and husband, Franklin Curtis, of Sabattus; two brothers, Henry Ayotte and wife, Joan, of Boca Raton, Fla.; and Robert Ayotte and wife, Jeannine , of Sabattus; a sister, Jeannine and husband, Norm Berube, of Lewiston; 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Roger and William.
