LEWISTON – Rep. Elaine Makas, D-Lewiston, hosted a Keep ME Warm fundraising event at the Lewiston MAINEiacs game on March 2 at the Colisee.

She worked with Community Concepts and the Lewiston MAINEiacs to sponsor a “Chuck-A-Puck” contest. Fans bought pucks for $2 before the game and between periods got to throw the pucks onto the ice, attempting to get them into different circles in order to win prizes.

The prizes were provided by the Maineiacs and Bedard Pharmacy. The event raised more than $300 for local heating aid, with the help of a $50 direct donation to Keep ME Warm from an individual.
