LEWISTON – Rita D. Wonneberger, 82, formerly of Lisbon Falls died Sunday, March 9, at Montello Manor Nursing Home.

She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 25, 1926, a daughter to the late Wilfred and Lottie (Michaud) Dumont. She was educated locally and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1945. She married the love of her life, Wendall Y. Wonneberger on Feb. 8, 1947, and together they raised their two children. He predeceased her in 1974.

She was a former member of Holy Family Parish in Lisbon Falls, where she taught CCD for 14 years. She was now a member of Holy Trinity. She enjoyed sewing, going for walks and most of all spending time with her family.

She leaves a son, John Wonneberger of Thailand; a daughter, Marie Hall and her husband, Dean, of Lisbon Falls; four grandchildren, Eric and David Hall and Sarah and Benjamin Wonneberger; two great-grandsons, Bryant and Corbin Hall; and a sister, Theresa Fecteau and her husband, Albert, of Portland.
