LISBON FALLS – Lisbon High School will host the second annual Community Wellness Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 15, at the school, Route 196.

Presentations will include healthy milk choices, Oakhurst Dairy; basic nutrition and star program, Hannaford; Lisbon DARE Program, Officer Darin Estes; backpack issues, Atlas Family Chiropractic Care; blood pressure clinic, school nurses Roxanne Mooney and Mary Ellen Bechard.

Also, physical activity and exercises with a dance revolution by Randy Ridley; health and wellness issues, Healthy Androscoggin; wellness and family health, Ruth Cyr, CMCC; Lisa Dulac, MS, L.Ac-Cupuncture; Curves Lisbon, Kathi Yergin; and low fat cooking ideas, Jim Damsgaard, Lisbon School Department nutrition director.

Lisbon school personnel and parent volunteers planned the event with assistance from area businesses in an effort to raise the awareness of wellness issues for students and their families.

The fair is free and open to all families, staff and community members. Door prizes will be awarded and healthy choice refreshments will be served.
