STONEHAM – An estimated 45 people approved most of a 61-article warrant during Saturday’s town meeting.

Town Clerk Midge Silvio said that the annual town meeting lasted about four-and-a-half hours. Voters re-elected several town officials, including Neil Littlefield as selectman, Mike McAllister as constable, Frank Robey as emergency management agency directory, Josh Jones as a Planning Board member, and Jim Owen as a Board of Appeals member.

Voters also elected Greg Fox as fire chief and Jim Tinder to the Board of Appeals.

In a 19-11 vote, they followed a recommendation by selectmen not to raise a stipend granted to the town clerk and treasurer. Silvio said the town grants the two positions a $750 stipend toward health insurance, and one article asked if voters would increase it to $930.

Other items approved included raising $25,000 for an assessment revaluation, $10,000 for the Fire Department, and $7,850 for Stoneham Rescue.
