AUBURN – Central Maine Community College will host its annual spring open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, on its lakeside campus at 1250 Turner St.

Faculty members and students will be on hand to provide information on programs of study, financial aid, the admissions process and options for transferring to four-year colleges.

“We will offer campus tours and other opportunities to learn more about the many programs we offer,” said Admissions Director Betsy Libby. “Students can explore the many other opportunities on campus; meet with students, faculty and staff; and get admissions and financial aid information.”

Dean of Planning and Public Affairs Roger Philippon said the open house is an opportunity for students and their families to become better acquainted with the college and its program options.

“Every year people tell us how informative the open house is and how surprised they are at everything we have to offer. Many students who thought college was out of reach have been able to realize that dream at CMCC,” Philippon said.

CMCC offers career and technical programs that prepare graduates for immediate employment and continued education. In addition, the college offers transfer programs that enable graduates to continue their education at a four-year institution.

Students may attend full- or part-time, and many evening courses are available. CMCC offers a variety of extracurricular activities, and the athletic department offers baseball, softball, men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, volleyball and coed golf.
