AUBURN – An “Entrepreneurs and Dreamers” program will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the Auburn Public Library.

There will be an introduction and discussion of patents, trademarks and copyright basics, including information on how to conduct intellectual property research for small businesses and individuals.

Martin Lawrence, science and engineering librarian at the University of Maine’s Raymond H. Fogler Library, will lead the program.

Lawrence is responsible for maintaining the U.S. Patents and Trademarks Depository Library Program for the University of Maine and serves as the patents and trademarks librarian for the state, one of only six in the New England region.

It will be a casual discussion-style session with plenty of time for questions and answers. Those who would like can bring lunch. Dessert, coffee and tea will be provided. Space is limited, so call Sally at 333-6640
