LEWISTON – Frances Kathyrn Leavitt Flanders, 44, of Manchester, passed away in Lewiston, on Tuesday, March 11.

She was born in Lewiston, on April 12, 1963, the daughter of Dorothy (Levi) Leavitt and the late John Rollin Leavitt.

She attended Waterville High School and graduated in 1981. She graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 1985 with a degree in economics. She was currently employed by the Department of Human Services for the state of Maine as a case worker. Previously, she worked for the Maranacook school system as para-educator.

She was a beloved mother, sister, wife, friend and daughter. The people who had the chance to know her can honestly say she was one of the most beautiful people inside and out. Her laugh was infectious to those around her bringing joy wherever she went.

Her favorite times were mainly spent with her two sons and daughter. She loved to bring a smile to people’s faces and pull practical jokes. She was a big reader, she always loved to go out and get a fresh, new book to read in her bed before she went to sleep. She will never be forgotten and will always be missed. She will forever remain in our hearts and always be a part of our lives.

She is survived by her loving children, Spenser, Keegan and Jessyca; her husband, Eric Flanders; her mother, Dorothy Leavitt, formerly from Bailey Island, and now from South Burlington, Vt.; her brother, Dr. Bruce Leavitt, his wife, Anne, their three children, John, Allison and Haley from South Burlington, Vt.; her sister, Debra Leavitt-Phibbs; her partner, Anne and their two children, Dylan and Ada from Minneapolis, Minn.; and her sister, Patricia Leavitt and her son, Samuel, from Tamworth, N.H..
