SOUTH PARIS – Lorraine M. Kuebler of Harrison and formerly of Lewiston, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 13.

She was born to Albert and Jeanne (Jutras) Marquis in Lewiston on Aug. 5, 1938.

Over the years, she had been employed in the shoe industry as well as at Arrow Hart, and later at Hannaford as well as providing assistance to her husband with his wood craft business.

She married Edward Kuebler of Harrison on Feb. 28, 1988. He lovingly cared for Lorraine in their home in Bolsters Mills in the last several years as her illness progressed.

She always had a twinkle in her eye, a love for life, music and dancing. She will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Edward; as well as a daughter, Laurie Vachon of Somersworth, N.H.; a son, James Vachon, and his wife, Noi, of Dover, N.H.; siblings include Maurice Marquis and his wife, Anita, of Lewiston and Sarasota Fla., sisters, Mrs. Robert (Jolene) Laplante and Laurette Gagne, both of Lewiston; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernice Marquis of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Faith and Addison Vachon and Matthew Cunningham and Christopher Coyte; a stepdaughter, Karen Marlow of Andover, N.J.; a stepson, Frank Minch of Brunswick, N.J., and their families; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, Paul Marquis of Lewiston.
