RANGELEY – The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will sponsor the annual Spring Dance Concert of the Lakeside Dance Academy at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12, at the Rangeley Lakes Regional School gym.

More than 30 dancers ranging in ability from beginner to advanced will perform dances in tap, jazz, and ballet. The theme will be “Epic Rock.”

Dancers performing include:

Advanced level: Chelsea Bachelder, Bethany Durgin, Rachel Freihoff-Lewin, Kelsey Linnell, Sarah Bunch, Brianna Thorndike, Sabrina Castle, Ellie Brooks, Danielle Dutile, Chelsea Dresser and Brianna Hall.

Intermediate level: Seve DeRaps, Tala Ferguson, Tara Kase, Blayke Morin, Maddison Egan, Casco Haley, Shannon Wahlstrom, Shelby Elmes and Natalie Brooks.

Beginner level: Eva McMillan, Isobel Straub, Victoria Glidden, Olivia Hall, Mary Page Swiney, Brooke Egan and Gabby Castle.

Parents and community volunteers will help with costumes, lighting, costume changes, make-up and hair and as general assistants.

The Lakeside Dance Academy has been providing dance instruction since 1987. It receives support from the Rangeley Friends of the Arts through the grant program.

A reception to honor the work of the young dancers will be held after the conclusion of the concert on both nights.

Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students age 12 to 17. Children 6 and under are free. For more information, phone Pam Ellis at 864-2556.
