LEWISTON – Priscille Vincent Berube died March 13 at d’Youville Pavilion surrounded by family and loving caregivers.
She was born April 11, 1909, in Auburn to Arthur and Albina (Richard) Vincent. She was raised and educated in Auburn. She married Arthur Berube in 1927. He died in 1951.
She had fond memories of working at Marie’s Bakery, Cummings Cleaners and as a ward clerk at St. Mary’s Hospital. She truly enjoyed her last four years, living at d’Youville Pavilion.
She looked forward to playing beano, playing cards with Sally (Stella), Red Hat parties, making holiday crafts and going on field trips. She shared special friendships with several of the staff and volunteers at d’Youville. She was also proud of the fact that she was almost 99 years old.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Rita Vincent of Santa Maria, Calif.; a cousin, Mrs. Grace Bernatchez of Auburn; nieces, Priscilla Pellitier, Sue Welkner and Linda Vincent; several extended nieces, nephews and cousins including, Belinda Ledue and her family, Scott Johnson and his family, David Johnson and Gayle Johnson and her family.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Richard, Victor and Maurice; and many relatives and friends.
