LEWISTON – Meredith Anne Easton and Gabriel Gerard Cox were married Dec. 17 in Lewiston while vacationing for the Christmas holidays with family.

On Feb. 9 they were joined in Jacksonville, Fla., for a blessing of their marriage vows. As friends and family circled them on a warm and sunny afternoon, the couple pledged their dedication and devotion to each other and a commitment to serving their Lord together in their role as man and wife.

The fathers of the bridegroom and bride were asked to bless the couple on their future service to each other, their church and their community.

The ceremony took place at the home of Derrick and Beth Harmon, spiritual mentors of the couple, and the ceremonial toasts were given by the sister of the bride, Katherine Easton, and a friend of the couple, Jonathan Bryant.

The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Larry and Beth Easton of Melrose, Fla. She is a 2004 graduate of Keystone Heights High School. The bridegroom is the son of Walter and Adele Cox of Sabattus and is a 2003 graduate of Eastgate Christian Academy.

The couple is residing in Jacksonville, Fla.
