TOLEDO, Ohio – Ray Arsenault (Uncle Ray/Papa), 60, of Toledo, Ohio, lost his 12-year battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 11, at N.W. Ohio Hospice, Toledo.

Ray proudly served his country in the U.S. Army 9th infantry division during Vietnam, and was employed as a foreman/tree trimmer with the Nelson Tree Service for 25 years, a job he loved and was very proud to do.

Ray loved people (especially children), animals, playing the guitar, playing softball, bowling and fishing. He considered himself very lucky to have a large and loving extended family. Ray himself was a very strong, yet softhearted man who was loved by all who knew him.

Ray was also known as Papa to Trent, Tyler, and Alana Hyott.

Ray also leaves behind many godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, all too numerous to mention.
