Winthrop – Gertrude Levesque Hachey, 94, passed away peacefully following a long illness on Friday, March 14, at Heritage Rehabilitation & Living Center in Winthrop.

She was born in Auburn on May 19, 1913, the daughter of Joseph and Angelina Levesque.

She grew up and lived most of her life in the Lewiston/Auburn area, where she was a telephone operator for many years.

She is survived by five children, Connie of Amherst, Mass., Richard of Huntsville, Ala., Ronald of Manchester, Dianne of Winthrop and Wayne of Winthrop. Also surviving her are nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Heritage Rehab & Living Center for the wonderful and compasionate care that Gertrude and her family received.
