FARMINGTON – The Magic Wizard Band, a duo with Rushad Eggleston on cello and vocals and Gabriel Cazes on drums and keyboards, will perform Friday, March 21, at the Mt. Blue High School auditorium.

The band from Los Angeles plays original songs with influences that span Romanian folk music, sailor songs, the Beatles, Metallica, Brahms and Tchaikovsky.

Eggleston is a much sought-after improvising cellist. Highlights of his long list of musical credits include “Crooked Still” and “Fiddlers Four,” as well as teaching improvising cello at many of the premier fiddle camps across the United States. His cello playing can also be heard on NPR’s “Says You.”

The Franklin County Fiddlers, who are putting on the concert, will open it at 7:30 p.m. with a few numbers. Also performing will be members of Temple Stream Theater. Tickets are a suggested $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors. They will be available at the door.
