It seems to me that the pen is mightier than the sword. This is in response to the letter from Reggie Bechard, printed March 12.

I wonder if he has never been where he shouldn’t have been at least once in his life. I know I have. Is he going to cast the first stone?

My kids grew up with Sergio Hairston, and somehow, not even one fight in 10 years.

I believe in capital punishment, when all the stars and moons line up. That wasn’t the case.

I also realize that there are many flaws in the so-called justice system.

Yes, a man is dead because of the incident, and, yes, I do agree that punishment should fit the crime – when all the pieces of the puzzle come together.
