AUBURN – Fred W. Holt, 88, of Mechanic Falls died Sunday, March 16, at Clover Manor Living Center.

He was born in Mechanic Falls on Jan. 11, 1920, the son of Ralph L. and Gladys E. Coffin Holt. He attended school in Mechanic Falls and had been employed by C & G Bostwick, a roofing company in Hartford, Conn., retiring in 1982. He was a member of the 103rd Infantry in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He is survived by four sisters, Roberta Green of South Paris, Ruth Caron and Mary Ainaire, both of Lewiston and Vera Morse of Lisbon; a daughter, Linda Reynolds of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Beleski Holt.
