On Friday, January 25, Elm Street School had a very tragic event take place. All of the students had to evacuate the building as soon as possible. Once the teachers heard the words, “code green, code green”, the only thing they told us was to evacuate immediately and walk downtown to the Vineyard Church.

All of the students were wondering what was going on, and then we all heard, bomb threat. All of a sudden I could hear small children without shoes or coats begin to cry. They didn’t have time to grab their coats or shoes because of the scare that someone caused the whole school. As they were all crying, multiple people tried to calm the young ones down by saying that someone was trying to be funny. But it didn’t work.

Everyone, including teachers, were thinking the worst and everyone was worried about what might happen. People all around were making jokes about a non joking matter. I found that the sooner it was all over, the better.

After everyone arrived at the church and all were accounted for, people who worked at the church were telling jokes and putting on skits to calm us down.

That night the search teams finally came to a conclusion that it was safe, and that there was no bomb. Today we are all back at school and learning like we used to. All of us her at Elm Street hope that it will never happen again.
