Sat., Dec. 8 was the 73 Heismen trophy presentation. As always, the best players in college football are nominated to come to New York city. This year’s finalists were Darren McFadden from Arkansas, Tim Tebow from Florida, Chase Daniel from Missouri, and Colt Brennan from Hawaii. All of the finalists had an outstanding year and they all thought they could win the big prize.
All year everyone predicted the Heismen trophy would go to the sophomore quarterback, Tim Tebow from Florida. This was the case, as Tim Tebow won the 73 Heismen trophy. He scored a total of 51 touchdowns all season, 29 throwing and 22 running. Nobody has ever scored this many touchdowns in one season. He was also the first sophomore to win the Heismen ever. People are saying that Tebow could win the Heismen his junior year and maybe senior year if he keeps it up. But you never know, anything could happen.
