LEWISTON – Marie Louise Blanchette, 100, of 14 Blanchette St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, March 18, at Russell Park Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was born in Thetford Mine, Quebec, Canada, on Oct. 28, 1907, the daughter of Winceslas and Sauphenie (Beaudoin) Charest. She attended schools in Canada.

She was married to Alexandre Blanchette on July 28, 1928, until his death on Jan. 17, 1962.

She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Ann and Lewiston Senior Center. She enjoyed sports, especially watching the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Cayer and her husband, Gerard, of Shelton, Conn., Mrs. Lorraine Breton of Lewiston, Mrs. Constance Strasser of Pompton Lakes, N.J., and Mrs. Patricia Cahill of House Springs, Mo.; two sons, Normand Blanchette and his wife, Carmen, of North Berwick and Alexander Blanchette of Lewiston; one sister, Mrs. Irene Berube of Lewiston; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
