NORWAY – Robert Francis Heald, 79, of Norway died Monday, March 17, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Paris on Sept. 4, 1928, the son of Guy F. and Augusta L. Lusky Heald. He graduated from Paris High School and had been employed at several local companies, including Paris Manufacturing, Gladding Paris and Penley Corp., from which he retired in 1993.

He was a member of the NRA and the Sportman’s Alliance. He loved hunting, golfing, baseball and bowling. He was a fan of the New England Patriots and NASCAR racing. He married Sylvia Gammon on June 29, 1990.

He is survived by his wife of Norway; daughter, Shirley Allen Heald of Norway and her sons, Jacob and Nathaniel Robert; daughter, Patricia Coolidge and her husband, William, of Bryant Pond and their children, Christopher Coolidge and Alicia Richards; son, William Heald and his wife, Karen, of West Paris; stepson, Kevin Barrett and his companion, Tracey Newman, of Oxford; and five great-grandchildren.
