RUMFORD – ICL Board Builders, in partnership with Western Mountains Alliance and River Valley Growth Council, is offering a workshop, “Nonprofit Board Responsibilities: Steps to a More Effective Board,” on April 16, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Rumford Town Hall auditorium, 145 Congress St.

The workshop will give participants an overview of nonprofit board service. Those attending will explore the roles and responsibilities of nonprofit boards – what they are, how they can be exercised effectively, and what they mean in terms of individual board member expectations.

The workshop will be presented by Suzanne Austin, associate director of the Institute for Civic Leadership.
