Turkey supper
DIXFIELD – The Dixfield Congregational Church was recently given a gift of three turkeys and will give them back to the community in the form of a turkey supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out Saturday, March 29, in the annex.
There is no charge, but donations will be accepted to replenish the church’s mission fund.
In the past the people of the Church on the Hill have given through the Missions Committee to help in times of disaster. Recently efforts have focused on church members and nonmembers, who have suffered losses by fire or flood, are out of work, or find themselves needing help is not covered by government or community programs.
The church is handicapped accessible via the newly renovated driveway and ramp in the rear of the building. For more information, call 562-4582 or 562-7095.
Community meet
RUMFORD – A Community Networking Meeting, sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition, is scheduled for noon Wednesday, March 26, at the Rumford Public Library.
Debbie Dembski, director of the rape education and crisis hotline, will speak about its services and current community issues/events. She also wants to hear from those in attendance about the needs in the River Valley area regarding addressing sexual assault.
