AUBURN – Funeral services honoring the life of Edwin F. Cotton Sr. were held Thursday from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with Hospice Chaplain, Lissa Bradford presiding. Words of remembrance were shared by his son Edwin Jr., family friend, The Rev. William R. Holland, Ed’s aunt, Alice Whirley, friend, Frank Breton, and Ed’s daughter, Kelley Karkos. A delegation from the Maine State Department of Human Services was also in attendance. Graveside committal prayers with military honors will be held later in the spring at Stevens Mills Cemetery in Auburn. After the service, a reception of fellowship was held at the Pastime Club in Lewiston.
