AUBURN – The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA Hoopsters program is off to a great start. The program is for 5- and 6-year-olds and is designed to advance their skills in the game of basketball.

Androscoggin Title defeated Morrison & Sylvester, 12-8, in a season-opening game. Leading the way for Androscoggin Title were Ryan Lachance with six points, Austin Brown withfour and Rosalie White with two. Oliver Hall, Brady Downing and Joel Stubbs all did an excellent job dribbling the ball up the court, while Bobby Tremaine, Ella Henry, Dan Milks and Moses Graham all played great defense.

Leading the scoring for Morrison & Sylvester were Ethan Brown with four points, Daniel Nalley with two and Teagan Galway with two. Victoria Copland, Julia Milks, Giles Paradie and Anson Jipson-Perry all played exceptional defense. Storm Jipson and Olivia Ouellette made some great passes.
