WEST PARIS – Lillian Margaret Rich, 84, of Mexico, died peacefully on March 20 at the Ledgeview Nursing Home.
She was born on March 5, 1924, in Sumner, the daughter of Clarence F. and Della M. (Bryant) Ring. She attended Buckfield High School and graduated in 1941.
On Feb. 21, 1947, she married Vernon C. Rich. He died on Dec. 4, 2003. She worked at Diamond International in Peru for 42 years. She was an avid bowler most of her adult life and enjoyed cross-country skiing as young lady. She also enjoyed tending her flower gardens and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Carlton Rich and his wife, Valeda, of Roxbury; three grandchildren, Kathy Rich and her companion, Bert Holmquist, of Mexico, Angela Rich of Roxbury and Anthony Rich and his companion, Katie McPherson, of Mexico; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Matraca and Olivia; four sisters, Margery Dunsmore and her husband, Clarence, of Peru, Noreen Bucknell and her husband, Harold, of Cornish, Shirley Cole and her husband, Elwin, of Westbrook and Sylvia Clark of Bryant Pond; and one brother, Rodney Ring and his wife, Gloria, of Mexico.
She was predeceased by her parents; a son, Vivian Rich; and a brother, Robert Ring.
