Dear Sun Spots: Livermore Falls Middle School is hosting its second show of ‘The Price is Right’ on Saturday, April 5. I’m looking for anyone who would be interested in making a donation to this show. As you know with the real ‘Price is Right’ game show they have extravagant showcase items. That is what we are in need of, whether it be a monetary donation or an actual item, this is what we need.
Our showcase themes this year are “travel” and the second one is “home.” All proceeds made from this fundraiser go to the children of Livermore Falls Middle School. The money is divided among grades six, seven and eight and helps them with field trips, class activities, etc.
On the night of the event we also have a silent auction, raffle and kids table. We need items for this as well. We will take any donations you can give. If you are an individual or a business that can help us out by donating to this event it would be greatly appreciated. To those who have already made a donation, thank you very much.
Also, throughout the event, the names of all companies and individuals who have made a donation will be displayed on a screen for everyone to see. We must receive all donations by Thursday, March 27. If you’re interested in making a donation, please call the following people and they will be happy to help you: Donna Heutz 491-2802, Ted Finn 897-2121, ext. 215, or Lana Esty 897-9265. Please provide your name, phone number and what you would be willing to donate.
Also if you’re interested in buying tickets for this event they are $7 and they can also help you with that. Thank you. – Donna Heutz, Livermore Falls.
Dear Sun Spots: I have a small collection of stamps and would like to hear from anyone that is interested in taking a look at them. – W.D.T., Auburn.
Answer: In addition to responses from our readers, you can contact Julien Gosselin at 784-7892. He was a stamp dealer for many years. He is now retired, but still collects stamps. He is always interested in buying stamp collections that contain material he could add to his own personal collection.
