FARMINGTON – Another ski season is coming to a close at Titcomb Mountain on Saturday, March 22.

Originally scheduled to close March 16, snowfall extended the season another week. Lifts will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and manager Karleen Andrews expects the entire mountain to be open with all alpine and Nordic trails groomed.

A 2-for-1 special will be offered on lift tickets and trail passes along with some food specials in the lodge.

After a day of skiing, a benefit dance for Steve Botka, a longtime ski patroller at Titcomb who is seriously ill, will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Fore Seasons Restaurant on Route 117 in Turner. The dance will feature the bands, Rusty Skidder and The Obsessions.

There is a $10 cover charge for the dance, and all proceeds will benefit Botka. For reservations or more information, call 224-7060.
