AUBURN – Richard and Kristen Heldman of Auburn are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Heldman of Auburn, to Alexander Jay Kaufmann of Fort Hood, Texas, son of Linda Rose of Union and Morris Kaufmann of Miami, Fla.
Miss Heldman is a 2004 graduate of Poland Regional High School and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in social work at the University of Southern Maine, with plans to graduate May 10.
PFC Kaufmann attended Medomak Valley High School and Southern Maine Community College, prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army in March of 2005. He is stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, with the First Cavalry Division, and just completed a 15-month tour of duty in Iraq.
A May 24 wedding will be held at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester.
