LEWISTON – The Maine Gladiators Zone 3 Tier I team announces its team structure and tryout schedule for the 2008-09 season.

The Gladiators field skaters from Lewiston, Auburn, Midcoast and Western Maine.

Squirts (birth years 1998 and 1999) will compete in the MeAHA Tier I (Comp A) league, and the Valley League.

Pee Wees (1996 and 1997) will compete in the MeAHA Tier I (Comp A) league, and the Valley League.

Bantams (1994 and 1995) will field two Gladiators teams. One will have a full schedule and will compete in the MeAHA Tier I (Comp A) league as well as the Valley League. The limited Bantam team will have a limited schedule and will compete in the MeAHA Tier I (Comp A) league with games to be scheduled around high school games as much as possible.

It may also pick up non-league games with other teams in Maine and will not compete in the Valley League. At the time of tryouts, Bantam players will be asked whether they wish compete with the limited or full team.

Divisional Tryout Times area as follows:

Squirts – March 31, April 1 and 2, from 5 to 6 p.m.

Peewee – March 31, April 1 and 2, from 6:10 to 7:10 p.m.

Bantams – March 31, April 1 and 2, from 7:20 to 8:20 p.m.

The tryout fee is $40 per skater. Skaters are required to attend tryouts in order to be considered for the team.
