PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Maurice “Moe” Stephen Blais, 66, devoted husband of 44 years to Sandra Blais died Tuesday, March 25, at his home.

Born in Lewiston, he was the son of the late Leo and Lucienne Blais. He was a resident of The Tradion Pawleys Island for 11 years. He had received his bachelor of science degree in accounting and his master’s degree in public administration from Northeastern University. He was a dedicated civil servant with more than 31 years of federal service as a senior inspector at the U.S. Department of State.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Sandra Blais; sons, Jason Blais of Lorton, Va., and Jonathan Blais of Vinton, Va.; sister, Helen Gelly of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and grandchildren, Alexis, Evan and Jacob Blais all of Lorton, Va., and Austlee and Lucus Blais, both of Vinton, Va.
